The origin of Tambo+

April 1, 2015 was the date the first Tambo store was inaugurated in Lima, specifically in the district of Comas. This company was founded by the Great Retail group of the Lindley family, who are the owners of the famous Peruvian soda Inca Kola.

What this brand offered was the sale of sandwiches, sweets, drinks, desserts, takeaway food and payment of various services. Despite having a short time in the Peruvian market, there were already 100 stores distributed throughout the capital in 2016.

Its success increased every day and users had no doubts about making their purchases in these stores, especially when they implemented their usual promotions. By the end of 2018, they already had 300 stores in Lima.

But, are there any stores outside of Lima Metropolitana? Yes, in Lima region there are two stores located in Huaral and Huacho; in addition, in December 2022, the first store outside the Peruvian capital was opened in Mall Aventura Chiclayo.

By the end of 2022, a total of 600 Tambo stores were projected, but this goal was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Photo: Difusion
