UPDATE

Betssy Chávez arrived this morning at the Plenary to support the budget proposal for the following fiscal year. The head of the PCM clarified that the proposed budget aims to ensure quality public services.

At the end of her presentation, she addressed observations from the Executive Branch regarding the approved opinion by the Budget Commission, and noted that the additional expense would imply affecting various expenses that are planned in the Contingency Reserve, especially the continuity of hiring ex-CAS COVID as regular CAS, she explained.

Additionallly, the objective is to improve living standards by allocating public resources to health policies, education, poverty relief, early attention, access to clean water, and reducing vulnerability to frost and freezing temperatures.

“This will be carried out through a social revolution within a framework of social stability and sustainability,”, she stated.

ORIGINAL NOTE

Accompanied by her ministerial cabinet, Betssy Chávez arrived at the Congress plenary to support the Budget, Borrowing, and Financial Balance Bills for 2023.
