Those players are Paulo Díaz and José Paradela, who have been ruled out for this crucial clash against the Blanquiazules at the Estadio Nacional de Lima.
"After the morning swabs, players Paulo Díaz and José Paradela have tested positive for Covid-19. The rest of the tests carried out on the members of the squad, coaching staff and collaborators were negative," the statement reads.
Regarding both athletes, Díaz is one of the indisputable center-backs for the 'Millonario' starting eleven, while Paradela is one of the players that the 'Muñeco' always uses as a substitute.
It is worth noting that River Plate will be arriving on Tuesday, April 5th, at 13:50 hours in Peru, and will be staying at the JW Marriot Hotel in the Miraflores district.
