After two years without a new season of South Park, the creators of the animated series Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced new episodes that will tell the life of the characters 40 years in the future after the COVID pandemic. The new episodes of the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny will be called "South Park Post Covid".
During an interview with Hollywood Reporter, they announced that the series will return in early 2022 with a new season, but before the end of 2021, two new special episodes will be released on Paramount+.
"We're trying to make what's on Paramount+ different from any other site, so made-for-TV one-hour movies are what we have in mind. We'll make two made-for-TV movies every year. They'll be big, but not on a cinematic scale," Stone said during the interview.

From 3:00 a.m. Eastern and 12:00 a.m. Pacific in the United States, Paramount Plus will broadcast the premiere of the special chapter of South Park Post Covid on Thursday, November 25. Two weeks later, it will arrive in all Latin American countries.
