La nube negra se va alejando de Matute. Today, after authorization from the Medical Commission of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), Alianza Lima trained in La Victoria after overcoming positive COVID-19 cases that affected the team. Now, Carlos Bustos' squad is fully preparing for the national finals on November 21 and 28 against Sporting Cristal.
After a week of suspension due to the infections, the Blanquiazul team was summoned today at 10:00 a.m. (Peruvian time) at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium.
The players affected by the coronavirus were Ricardo Lagos, Erick Canales, Miguel Cornejo, Javier Navea, Arley Rodriguez, Axel Moyano, Carlos Montoya, José Gallardo, Sebastián Gonzales-Zela, and Óscar Pinto.
In addition, Alianza Lima highlighted Sunday's training at Matute on its social media accounts. "We're back," was the team's brief message.

Furthermore, the club from La Victoria provided details on the recovery of the infected players. "The members of the squad who tested positive in the previously conducted tests continue to be isolated while undergoing their recovery process under the monitoring of Alianza Lima's medical department," it reads.
Duel against Sporting Cristal
The team led by Carlos Bustos was the winner of Phase 2 of the Liga 1 Betsson, therefore earning their right to compete in the final for the national title against Sporting Cristal (winner of Phase 1). The Blanquiazules and the Rimenses will face each other once again for a championship final. The last one was in 2018, where the Celestes imposed their conditions and won the final with an aggregate score of 7-1.
