Jovana de la Cruz earned her spot in the Olympics after achieving the minimum score in the "Peruvian Bicentennial Marathon" held earlier today on the Costa Verde.

With an official time of 2 hours, 27 minutes, and 59 seconds, covering a distance of 42 kilometers and 125 meters, Jovana de la Cruz becomes the 21st representative for Peru in the international competition.
