President of the Peruvian Volleyball Federation (FPV) states that the National Superior Volleyball League (LNSV), which was postponed due to the havoc caused by the second wave of COVID-19 in Peru, is planned to start on the first day of the next month.

Gino Vegas announced that they are working together with the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) to obtain the necessary permission from the Executive Branch to carry out the LNSV, which was supposed to start on January 27.

"We are interacting through the IPD, who has direct contact with the Cabinet in order to obtain approval. We had planned to start the National League on January 27, but we had to postpone it. Our intention is to start on March 1 and allow clubs to resume training next Monday," he told Radio Ovación.

The leader emphasized that the volleyball players have been strictly following a sanitary protocol and that they are constantly undergoing COVID-19 tests.

He explained that the teams do not gather in one place due to budget constraints and the high costs involved.

"It's complicated because of the costs and logistics, each girl is at home taking all the necessary precautions."
