Juan Guillermo Cuadrado recovers from COVID-19 and returns to Juventus squad for Supercoppa Italiana match
Colombian defender Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has recovered from coronavirus and will be included in coach Andrea Pirlo's call-up for the Supercoppa Italiana match against Napoli on Wednesday (3 p.m.).
"Juan Cuadrado has undergone two PCR tests for COVID-19 with negative results, according to the protocol. The player has recovered and no longer needs to isolate. He will join the team in the concentration in Reggio Emilia and will be included in the list of selected players," Juventus stated in an official note.
Cuadrado, 32, tested positive for COVID-19 on January 5 and missed the last four matches of Juventus, who will face Napoli at the Mapei Stadium with the first trophy of the season at stake.
This season, the Colombian international has played 18 matches between Serie A and the Champions League.
His team is currently in fifth place in the league, ten points behind leaders Milan, and is paired with Porto in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
