The Fuenlabrada club reports 16 COVID-19 cases
The Fuenlabrada club announced on Thursday a total of 16 cases of COVID-19 in the Madrid club, after receiving the results of the PCR tests carried out by the autonomous government of Galicia on the morning of July 23.
Out of the 16 positive cases, 12 are from the expedition that traveled to La Coruña to play against Deportivo in the last match of LaLiga SmartBank (Second Division), while 4 belong to the members of Fuenlabrada who stayed in Madrid.
"Once the results of the PCR tests carried out by the Xunta de Galicia on the morning of July 23 were received, CF Fuenlabrada wants to inform that there are two more positive cases, bringing the total to 12 in the expedition plus the four who stayed in Madrid. The club wishes a speedy recovery to all 16 affected individuals," Fuenlabrada stated through an official statement.
On Thursday afternoon, Fuenlabrada reported that four new cases had been counted in the tests carried out by the Xunta de Galicia, as well as a fifth case that was "inconclusive," adding to the four cases already known in Madrid and the ten infected players who are in the concentration hotel.
In the late evening of Thursday, two new cases were added to reach a total of 16 throughout the club. EFE
