NBA Restart: A Challenge Amidst a Pandemic

The NBA has never faced the challenge of restarting a season after a hiatus of more than four months.

Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz will be a part of the season's restart. He tested positive for coronavirus on March 11th, which led to the suspension of the championship.

Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans will resume actions by facing Gobert's Jazz.

On the same day, James, Anthony Davis, and the Los Angeles Lakers return to the court in pursuit of the title, facing Leonard, Paul George, and the Clippers.

This game will be between the two top teams in the Western Conference.

The Lakers (49-14) hold a 5.5 game lead over the Clippers (44-20) in the Western Conference.

A day later, on July 31st, there will be six games, something that will happen seven times in the schedule.

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Portland Trail Blazers will face off in a crucial game in the race for the eighth place in the Western Conference.

The Grizzlies (32-33) have an advantage of 3.5 games over the Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Sacramento Kings, and four games over the San Antonio Spurs.

On the same day, the Boston Celtics will play against the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Houston Rockets will face the Dallas Mavericks.

On Saturday, August 1st, there will be five games, featuring the Miami Heat against the Denver Nuggets, and the Trail Blazers against the Celtics.

A day later, the Bucks will play against the Rockets, in a six-game day.

The championship restart will involve 22 teams and will take place from July 30th to August 14th.

On three of those days, there will be seven games, and each team will also play a consecutive series.

On August 9th, one of the days when seven games are scheduled, the Washington Wizards and the Oklahoma City Thunder will face each other.

According to the new restart rules, if at the end of the qualifying games, a team is four games behind the eighth-place team, then a play-in tournament will be held to determine the eighth team in the Conference that will advance to the postseason.
