Alfredo Ramúa, Argentine midfielder of Cusco FC, questioned the choice of Lima as the only venue for the resumption of the Liga 1. El Chapu expressed his fear of traveling to the Peruvian capital due to a possible coronavirus infection and proposed Cusco or Arequipa.
"We want to return to work, we depend on this, but we have to have the necessary safety and today Lima is the main focus of contagion, it is practically going to challenge the virus. We are all afraid, I believe that there is not as much contagion in Cusco or Arequipa and it is a bit safer," he said in Ovación.
"We will wait until the last minute, the teams from the provinces will surely meet with the president of the Federation to discuss the issue because it is complicated to go to Lima at this time," added the Rioplatense player.
On the other hand, Alfredo Ramúa referred to the logistics of Lima to concentrate the 20 teams that participate in the Peruvian championship. He also expressed his concern for the members of the squads who are of advanced age and are at risk of infection.
"If we look at the numbers, everything is clear, today the boys are calmer in Cusco than they would be in Lima. There are still many doubts because we are all going to Lima, there are 20 teams, where are we all going to train. If we have to be concentrated, we all have to be concentrated, the health of not only us, but many people is at stake, it won't be easy," he said.
"There are several questions, there are coaches and physical trainers in the League who are of advanced age, we have to be careful," he added.
