Semi-final second leg of the Italian Football Cup

The second leg semi-finals of the Italian Football Cup, Juventus Turin-Milan and Naples-Inter Milan, will be played on June 12 and 13, while the final will be on the 17th of the same month at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, as reported by Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora on Thursday.

"I requested that football could resume with the Italian Cup, with all three matches broadcast live on 'Rai' television. The two semi-finals have been brought forward to then allow the development of a busy calendar of events. They will be played on June 12 and 13, with the final on the 17th", assured Spadafora in a livestream on the social media platform Facebook.

Thus, after more than three months of forced break due to the coronavirus, Italian football will return with three decisive matches, all played behind closed doors, before the resumption of the Serie A on June 20.

The first to take the field, on the 12th, will be Juventus and Milan at the Turin Allianz Stadium, after the first leg match played in February at San Siro ended in a 1-1 draw.

The following day, the Naples-Inter match will be held at the Neapolitan San Paolo stadium, with the southern team winning the first leg 1-0 at San Siro with a fantastic goal from Spanish player Fabian Ruiz.

The winners will face each other on the 17th at the Olympic Stadium with the possibility of lifting the first trophy of the major European leagues after the coronavirus pandemic. EFE
