The coach of Alianza Universidad de Huánuco, Ronny Revollar, expressed his position regarding the development of the Liga 1. The dentist by profession considered that the FPF could choose to declare the huanuqueño team as the champion of the tournament, just as it happened in other tournaments with the team that was leading the table before the Covid-19 pandemic.
"In all the tournaments in the world that decided to end, the team that was leading was declared champion. I don't see why we can't do that in Peru. If that's not going to happen, all we ask is not to harm the teams that planned the start of the tournament well," Revollar said in Ovación.
"What worries us a little is that the players who traveled to Lima may return to Huánuco and begin the first conditioning phase. In Lima we have about 13 players, there is always a solution and we hope that there is some kind of mobility so that they can come back," he added.
Alianza Universidad has accumulated 16 points in the first six matches of the Opening Tournament. Currently, they are playing their second consecutive season in the First Division.
