This Saturday, Borussia Möenchengladbach hosted Bayern Leverkusen for the 27th round of the Bundesliga and the Borussia Park, their stadium, seemed to be filled with people; however, they were cardboard faces.
As it is known, matches are played behind closed doors to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. For this reason, the German team had the initiative to have its fans present in some way.
That's why they decided to make cardboard cutouts with the face of each fan in exchange for them paying 19 euros each. In this way, they would also collaborate financially with the club since they cannot buy tickets.
As previously reported by Infobae, the company in charge of this printing, Fanprojekt Mönchengladbach, stated that 20,000 faces were ordered, but they managed to make only 13,000, which were the ones displayed in the stands.
On the other hand, unlike the previous round, this time all matches held a minute of silence before they started in honor of the victims of the coronavirus.
