The experienced defender of Libertad
The 40-year-old defender of Libertad referred to how he is coping with the quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic and talked about the return of Paraguayan football in the coming weeks.
Paulo Da Silva explained that he has been training daily at home, but that group practice is different. "The physical aspect will suffer a lot if you don't train every day," he added.
HE WANTS TO RETURN, BUT... This Monday, Phase 2 of the smart quarantine begins, which includes the practice of professional sports.
Da Silva was clear in stating that he wants to go back to playing football, but not at any cost. "I want to play again, but not at any risk, we have to take into account all the details, if we have to wait, we will wait," he said in contact with 95.5 FM.
The appearance of the coronavirus stopped the 2020 Apertura tournament on March 13. The suspension occurred on the eighth matchday, with Libertad as the leader with 19 points, followed by Decano with 4 points less.
Next Thursday, May 28, there will be a meeting of the Executive Council of the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) and the presidents of First Division clubs to try to set a date for the resumption of the championship.
