The Haitian international Steeven Saba, midfielder of the Montreal Impact, will be out for two to three months due to a fracture in his left foot that he suffered while running near his house, the Canadian club reported on Wednesday.
The team directed by Frenchman Thierry Henry is one of the few in the MLS that, due to the evolution of the coronavirus in Montreal, has not yet received authorization from local authorities to reopen its facilities for player training.
In a statement, the Impact explained that Saba's injury, 27, occurred while he was doing a routine continuous run near his home in Montreal.
In the text, the Impact recalls that it is among the few six franchises out of the 26 in the MLS that have not been able to join the individual and voluntary training authorized by the league on May 6th, in preparation for a possible resumption of the season, which has been suspended since March 12th.
