Real Madrid: Work in Groups for a Return at the End of June
While Zinedine Zidane, always protected with a mask when close to each group during training, increases the intensity of the physical load with demanding circuits, the priority is now focused on recovering confidence with the ball.
Real Madrid enjoyed their second day of group training with a ball, following the "strict health rules of the protocol set by LaLiga due to the coronavirus pandemic" as stated on their website. There was time for initial physical exercise before ball exercises in the morning of Tuesday.
The injured Luka Jovic and Mariano Díaz were once again absent from the session, and while Eden Hazard participated fully in the session, exciting Madrid fans with his recovery for the return of LaLiga Santander in June, the coaching staff is taking it slower with Marco Asensio.
The midfielder, who suffered a serious knee injury during preseason and has not played at all this season, trains with a different colored bib compared to his teammates, orange, which distinguishes him in exercises where he gains confidence in his gradual return to group dynamics.
Zidane focused on ball exercises, individually first and then in combination, with exercises that restore the player's confidence in competing for the ball and the effectiveness of possession.
