Inspection of stadiums for the resumption of football activities
The manager of Competitions and Licenses of the Paraguayan Football Association, Michael Sánchez; the security officer, Bernardino Caballero; and the doctors of the APF are the main members of the commission that inspects stadiums, collects data, and makes recommendations according to the health protocol.
This Monday, the authorities visited the facilities of Sol de América, 12 de Octubre, and San Lorenzo. Tomorrow, on Tuesday, they will continue with the review of the General Díaz and Sportivo Luqueño venues, while on Wednesday they will conclude the first stage of the examination at the Cerro Porteño and Deportivo Capiatá properties.
According to Sánchez, in communication with Fútbol a lo Grande on Monumental radio, the team emphasizes that the changing rooms must be spacious and the possibility of implementing a one-way circuit to minimize contact before the matches are played.
In general, the authorities have positive impressions, especially regarding the Luis Alfonso Giagni stadium, which only needs a few details to meet all the requirements. "Very good work, they already had the protocol known and implemented," said the Competitions manager.
Once these inspections are completed, the medical team's report will be released on Friday to determine which stadiums meet the health measures for the resumption of football activities, which have been on hold for over a month due to the coronavirus pandemic.
