Bologna will refund money to its subscribers starting from this Tuesday.

Bologna FC, from Italy, where Paraguayan Federico Santander plays, will reimburse its season ticket holders for the matches of the 2019-2020 season that they will not be able to attend due to the coronavirus emergency, starting this Tuesday.

Bologna FC 1909 Refunds Season Tickets

"Bologna FC 1909 has announced that starting this Tuesday, May 12, the process of refunding season tickets for the 2019-2020 season, referring to the matches that fans will not be able to attend," the Bologna club, where Federico Santander plays, stated in an official note.

Although it is still unknown if Serie A 2019-2020 will resume, Bologna is certain that there will be no open-door football for the remainder of the season and will therefore reimburse its fans for the money of the six home matches yet to be played.

The team led by Serbian coach Sinisa Mihajlovic still has to face Juventus Turin, Cagliari, Sassuolo, Naples, Lecce, and Torino at home.

Serie A was interrupted on March 9th in matchday 26, with Juventus leading by one point over Lazio in second place, and nine points over Inter Milan in third place.

Bologna occupied the tenth position with 34 points, five points behind the European qualification zone.

The Bologna club, owned by Canadian businessman Joey Saputo, also announced that the money from those who do not request a refund will be used to support the Emila Romagna region in managing the coronavirus emergency.
