The English international from Manchester City, Kyle Walker, who was caught for the second time in flagrante delicto violating the confinement measures implemented to fight the coronavirus pandemic, defended himself on Friday by criticizing the press, which, in his view, harasses him.
"I have gone through one of the most difficult periods of my life lately, and I take full responsibility," wrote the City defender on his Twitter account.
"Anyway, I have the feeling right now of being harassed. It not only affects me, but also the health of my family and my young children," he lamented.
Walker, 29 years old, explained that he had visited his parents and sister in Sheffield, in the north of England, as he had not seen them for a long time.
"Regarding what happened on Wednesday, I went to Sheffield to give my sister a card and a gift for her birthday, but also to talk to one of the few people I trust. She took me in her arms to show me that I can count on her and that she loves me. What should I have done? Reject her?" he wrote.
"I then went to see my parents at their home, to have some ready-made dishes. It is a very difficult period for them," added Parker, who criticized the British press, accusing them of following him "everywhere".
In early April, 29-year-old Walker had to apologize for not respecting the lockdown rules.
According to the press, he had invited two prostitutes and a friend to his house.
