PREVIEW...
In the Chilean Apertura, leader Colo Colo, with the Peruvian Christofer Gonzales, will have several important absences to face Unión La Calera in the sixth round of the tournament. This match will be played on Monday, September 14 at 5:30 p.m. (Peruvian time).
Colo Colo, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa Chile during the week against Coquimbo Unido, will not be able to count on Paraguayan goalkeeper Justo Villar, who has knee inflammation.
"He is not in condition. We will evaluate if it is possible for him to return for the match against San Luis on September 27," said Roberto Yáñez, Colo Colo's doctor.
The young Álvaro Salazar, the third goalkeeper on the squad, will be in goal, as Paulo Garcés, who competes with Villar for the starting position, will not return to the field this year due to a shoulder dislocation.
In addition to Villar's absence, experienced players Humberto Suazo and Jaime Valdés are also sidelined due to muscle problems and, according to Dr. Yáñez, could return along with Villar on the 27th.
Colo Colo comes from defeating Antofagasta (0-1) in the previous round, while Unión La Calera lost at home (1-2) to Audax Italiano and, with only five points, is struggling in the bottom of the standings.
