Race Announcement - Laguna CXT

Galerías Laguna and CAR 871 presented on Tuesday the call for the event called Laguna CXT, which will take place on Sunday, April 9, and consists of 6 and 12-kilometer races, as well as a triathlon.

The presentation took place at the Liverpool restaurant, by Guillermo Milan, director of Galerías Laguna, along with René Rivera and Guillermo Salmón from CAR 871, Alina Garza, director of the Municipal Sports Institute, as well as Alfredo Alemán Baños, director of Carreras Laguna.

The 12K race will start at 8:00 am from Independence Boulevard and Colon Avenue, towards Juarez Avenue, where they will turn around to return to the same boulevard and head towards the El Fresno subdivision, where they will circuit through Paseo de los Pintores and reach the finish line, which will be located in the Galerías parking lot.

The 6K race will start at 8:05 am, will have the same starting point, and the route will go straight along Independence Boulevard until reaching Galerías.

The capacity for both races is 1,500 runners, whether recreational or high performance of any age.

The 12K categories are for men and women: Juvenile (Up to 19 years old), Open (20 to 39 years old), Master (40 to 49 years old), Veterans (50 to 59 years old), Veterans Plus (60 years old and older).

In the 6K race, there will be categories for Socios 871 (any age) and Open (any age).

The registration cost is 250 pesos, until April 7, 2017. Registrations will close on Friday, April 7, at 8:00 pm. (late registrations, if there is still availability on Saturday, April 8, will be 280 pesos).

Registration points are open at CAR 871, Galerías Laguna, and Bosque Venustiano Carranza from 8:00 to 11:00 am and from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Also at Innova Sport stores with card payment.

Number pick-up will be on Saturday, April 8, at Galerías Laguna, from 12:00 to 7:00 pm.

The runner is entitled to: Dry fit-New Balance shirt, official number, finisher's medal, chip loan, recovery kit and services during the race.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the absolute champions as follows: the winner of the 12K race will receive 2,000 pesos, the second place 1,000 pesos, and the third place 500 pesos.

In the 6K race, the first place will receive 1,200 pesos, the second place 800 pesos, and the third place 500 pesos.

Finally, all participants will participate in a raffle of various items, all with a value of 100,000 pesos.

Triathlon

The triathlon competition will take place on the same Sunday, April 9, at 6:30 am, with an individual cost of 450 pesos and a relay cost of 750 pesos.

Package pick-up will be on the previous Saturday at Galerías Laguna from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, where the pre-meeting will also take place after the package pick-up.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. The route will be around Galerías Laguna.
