In his debut, Nicolás Fuchs raised the Peruvian flag high. The national driver finished the Dakar 2017 in 12th place in cars, after completing twelve stages.
Nicolás Fuchs closed the Dakar 2017 with a great twelveth stage, where he held off Mikko Hirvonen's attack to maintain 12th place in cars.
"We are in 12th place, a triumph for Peru," says Nicolás Fuchs upon arriving at the Dakar 2017. Together with his co-pilot Fernando Mussano, they embrace and celebrate for everyone.
"I want to congratulate all the Peruvians who have participated in the Dakar because it is very difficult," he assures. He has already experienced it and hopes to do it again, especially if it goes through national soil. "I hope that next year it starts in Peru and we have more Peruvians," he says.
Nicolás Fuchs is one of the four Peruvians who ran the Dakar 2017. In cars came Team ProRaid with Juan Carlos Vallejo and Leonardo Baronio, and the Ferrand father and son.
