Esteban Gutiérrez looks back at Suzuka Circuit
The Suzuka Circuit brings back good memories for Mexican driver Esteban Gutiérrez, as it was in 2013 when he was distinguished as Rookie of the Year, thanks in part to the seventh place he achieved in the Japanese Grand Prix.
Behind the wheel of Sauber that year, Gutiérrez started from 14th place and managed to climb seven positions to reach the points and defend his position against Nico Rosberg, who pushed him to the limit in the last 10 laps.
For this weekend's Grand Prix, which is being held again in the land of the Rising Sun, Gutiérrez is prepared to seek the feat that will give him his first points with the Haas team on the always challenging Japanese track.
"Regarding the track, it's something amazing. It's a very special circuit because it has a series of very fast corners, which makes it unique. However, a small mistake in a corner can quickly change the lead at any time, or even allow you to overtake several positions in one corner," he considered.
