With 1 minute and 38 seconds, Raúl Velit, the official Peugeot driver in Caminos del Inca 2023, took the first place in the Rally 4 category and positioned himself in the Top 5 of the best times in the general classification of the Super Prime of the most important rally competition in the country, which took place on Thursday, October 19 at the Autódromo de La Chutana.
With this achievement, the renowned 'Chatín' reaffirms his power at the wheel, because thanks to the hard training and recognition he has had with the Velit Racing Team, his co-pilot, the also awarded Julio Echazú, is willing to continue conquering his category and the general ranking of this rally.

“I am very happy with this achievement in the Super Prime. We have established ourselves as the best 2WD with a record time in our category and we are among the best in the general classification. We said it and now we are proving it: we are back to roar louder than ever.The whole team is 100% focused on the race, because after this boost comes the first stage of this great sporting event and I am sure that with the lion brand and the team we have formed, we have the exact formula to fight for the two podiums we are looking for,” said Velit.
After the result in the Super Prime, where he competed with 92 participants, the official Peugeot team decided to be second in the start of the first stage of the rally that starts this Saturday, October 21 in Canta, on the way to dominate the 2,200 kilometers touring Peru.

The vehicle with which Raúl Velit conquered his category in the Super Prime is the Peugeot 208 Rally 4, which arrived in Peru directly from the Peugeot Sports factory in France.
It is a racing model that has been seen in important rally competitions worldwide and last Wednesday it also delighted fans in the country at Agua Dulce Beach in Chorrillos, during the symbolic start of Caminos del Inca 2023.
