Max Verstappen (Red Bull) further strengthened his lead in the Formula One World Championship by winning the Dutch Grand Prix for the third consecutive time on Sunday. The race took place at the Zandvoort circuit, where Spanish driver Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) finished second and secured his seventh podium of the season, the 105th in the premier category. The 25-year-old Verstappen claimed his eleventh victory of the year, the 46th in F1, ahead of the double world champion from Asturias, who also set the fastest lap and confirmed his third place in the overall standings, and Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Alpine). The other Spanish driver, Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), finished fifth, behind Mexican Sergio Pérez (Red Bull), who took fourth on Sunday.

In a crazy race - interrupted with a red flag with seven laps remaining out of the scheduled 72, due to rain - the new sports idol of the Netherlands extended his team's historical record of consecutive wins to 13 and matched another milestone, the consecutive wins achieved ten years ago, also with Red Bull, by the four-time German world champion Sebastian Vettel.

The seven-time English world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) finished sixth, ahead of his compatriot Lando Norris (McLaren), who had started second.

Verstappen now leads the championship with 339 points, 138 more than 'Checo' - who was excluded from the podium due to a five-second penalty for irregularities in the pit lane - and 171 points ahead of Alonso. The championship will resume next weekend with the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Rubiales and the Jenni Hermoso case: "Chronic machismo, lack of empathy, and the absence of self-criticism disable him from exercising any managerial function."
