At 33 years old, Mexican driver Sergio Pérez is getting closer to retirement in Formula 1, leaving behind a career that will take many years for any other national driver to even come close to; however, the driver from Jalisco does not want to be remembered as the best Mexican-born driver that Formula 1 has had.
The motto "never give up" has been Checo's banner throughout his career in the top category of motorsports and during the previous years, where he even had to work as a cook in a restaurant to finance his stay in Europe and thus pursue his dream.
