Ashley Garcia: the Peruvian pilot who will participate in the World Rally Raid.

The Peruvian pilot Ashley Garcia will try to raise the country's name in an international competition. On this occasion, he will participate in the Baja Rally Raid World Championship, which will be held from September 1 to 4 in Poland.

The national representative will be part of the official team of South Racing. He will be accompanied by the experienced Mashael Alobaidan from Saudi Arabia, with whom he will compete in the T3 category in a CanAm X3 built by SouthRacing.

A few hours before the race starts, Ashley Garcia expressed his excitement as he has been in constant preparation. "We started official practices on August 27th, we had two days of technical inspections and a ceremonial event before starting the two-day competition on the 3rd and 4th," he said.

"We have a quite tight schedule, but we have been training throughout this year. We were also running the Sudair Rally World Championship a few months ago, where I won two stages, and this really added a lot as training," he added.

Likewise, he expressed his happiness for representing Peru. "These are opportunities that I can't let pass and that add a lot to my racing career and especially as training for my goal next year, which is the Dakar 2023. I hope to receive all the good vibes for this challenge in Poland, which I will approach with the best attitude as always," he mentioned.
