63-year-old man dies after being hit by pilot Lionel Baud in Rally Dakar 2016 stage 7

On Saturday, a 63-year-old man died after being hit by pilot Lionel Baud in stage 7 of the Rally Dakar 2016. The accident occurred between Uyuni (Bolivia) and Salta (Argentina).

According to the organization, "an accident occurred at kilometer 82 of today's stage, where competitor car N.409, Lionel Baud, hit a 63-year-old man who was isolated on the track."

They also indicated that Bolivian authorities went to the location with an organization helicopter to determine the circumstances of the accident.
