Tottenham Hotspur Defeats Newcastle United (1-3) and Keeps Dreaming of Europa League

Goals from Heung-min Son and Harry Kane served Tottenham Hotspur to defeat Newcastle United (1-3) this Wednesday and continue dreaming of qualification for the Europa League.

The 'Spurs' confirmed their victory in the North London derby against Arsenal with three points that realistically keep their chances of qualifying for the next edition of the Europa League alive.

Son scored the first goal for José Mourinho's team, taking advantage of an assist from Argentine Giovani Lo Celso. Matt Ritchie equalized in the second half and Harry Kane, with two goals, ended his goal drought of three games to bring the three points to London.

Paraguayan Miguel Almirón started and played the entire match for Newcastle.

With Wolverhampton Wanderers' victory, Tottenham remains one point behind them, and waiting for Sheffield United, who is seventh with 55 points, to play. They are also one point ahead of Sheffield.

Tottenham will face Leicester City, a team fighting for a Champions League spot, in the next match; and in the final match, they will play against Crystal Palace, who have nothing at stake after securing their safety.
