The most important car race in Peru, Caminos del Inca, starts this Saturday with the first stage Lima-Junín. Richard Palomino, from Andahuaylas, hopes to repeat the title he won in 2013. This time he will use a better car, as he mentioned.

"We have been preparing for this race for three months, it is the most important of the year. This time we are going to race with a Mitsubishi Evo X, which we have obtained thanks to the Spanish company RMC Sports," said Palomino.

Richard, who will compete in the N4 category, believes that his main rivals will not only be there, but also in the Turismo Superior and N4 Light categories.

"All rivals are respected by us. Not only those in our category, but also drivers like Alayza and Velit from TS," he said.

"I think this race is one of the most demanding and one that I like the most, a lot of strategy is used, I think that the issue of assistance and logistics will be fundamental. Richard and I have complemented each other very well," said Adolfo Espinoza, co-pilot of Richard.

Richard, champion of Caminos del Inca 2013, takes on the challenge of winning his second title by adding the experience and technology of TOTAL to his team, one of the largest fuel and oil companies with a presence in 150 countries and participating in competition teams in F1, Moto GP, Dakar Rally and World Championship Rally.
