Lewis Hamilton Continues to Shine in Formula One

Over the recent seasons in Formula One, reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton has gone from strength to strength and has successfully embedded his name among the elites of top flight racing through his performances.

Although beginning the 2018 campaign in an underwhelming manner in the opening three rounds in Australia, Bahrain and China, the Brit returned to his best in the previous two races at Baku and Spain.

Hamilton remains on course to win back-to-back titles as he heads into the Monaco Grand Prix with a 17-point lead over title challenger Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari.

Remarkable Admission from Nico Rosberg about Lewis Hamilton

Nico Rosberg, who once had a bittersweet relation with the Englishman during their Mercedes days, has now made a remarkable admission about his former teammate.

The former world champion is of the opinion that Hamilton is in the best form of his life, amidst the pinnacle of success.

The German ace asserted: "If I look at the race in Barcelona, I saw the best Lewis I have ever seen."

Currently working as a pundit for Sky Sports in Monte Carlo, Rosberg may have known Hamilton since their childhood days while karting, but were often at loggerheads as both aimed for the highest honours driving for Mercedes.

Ex-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone recently stated in Azerbaijan that Hamilton has lost the edge, which was his defining factor, but Rosberg believes the exact opposite to be true.

The 33-year-old Brit didn’t have a particularly favourable outing last time he took the track in Monaco, finishing seventh in 2017, but would like to alter the outcome this time around, ensuring he outshines the Ferrari and Red Bull cars in order to maintain the winning momentum.

Nico Rosberg Has No Plans for Formula One Return

Rosberg, who called time on his F1 career days after securing the world title in 2016, is presently a shareholder in the all-electric Formula E series and revealed he has no plans for a return to Formula One.

He added: "It has been a nice transition and I am happy with the way things have gone and the decisions I have taken.

"I can look back at it and I am very happy with life. There is no way back to F1 and for me that is it."

The difference between Rosberg and Hamilton may not have cleared over the years, but it is commendable that the duo maintain a level of respect for each other for their contribution to the sport.
