Meanwhile, Peruvian Rally driver Nicolas Fuchs arrived in La Paz in 12th place in the Dakar 2018.

The first female pilot to compete in the Dakar, Fernanda Kanno, keeps fighting in the race after getting stuck in the dunes in Marcona. Luckily, she managed to escape the desert and continue the competition. She is currently in the sixth stage and holds the 55th position overall in the car category. Kanno refuses to give up the race.
