Fernanda Kanno starred in one of the most emotional moments of the symbolic departure of the Rally Dakar 2018, which took place this Saturday at the Pentagonito in Lima. The journalist was moved to tears when she became the first Peruvian woman to participate in the most extreme rally in the world.
After passing through the official podium of the Rally Dakar 2018, Fernanda Kanno was interviewed by FOX Sports, where she could not hide her emotion for fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams.
"I am a few meters away from fulfilling my dream, I am excited. It is the adventure of my life, I can't believe I am here," said the pilot, who will compete in her first Rally Dakar in the T1.S car category with a Toyota Land Cruiser bearing the number 392.
Fernanda Kanno explained that she could not help but get emotional after seeing her parents among the audience, who would have been her main motivation to take on such an important competition like the Rally Dakar 2018.
