Peruvian dunes: a challenge for the Rally Dakar 2018 drivers
It is no mystery that the dunes of Peru are probably one of the most challenging terrains that the drivers of the Rally Dakar 2018 will have to face, a competition that will start this Saturday at the Pentagonito in Lima.
If there is someone who can attest to this, it is Martin Prokop. The Czech driver performed one of his last tests on Thursday for the Dakar 2018, but he did not end up doing well in the Peruvian dunes.
According to the images that the driver himself published on his social media, you can see that his truck was completely stuck in the sand.
"Well, this has been a proper test for the Dakar", Prokop wrote on his Twitter account, taking this unexpected incident with some humor. Will he be able to recover his truck in time for the start of the race?
Well this has been a propper test for @dakar 😎🤔🙃 #martinprokop#mpsports#goshrek#dakar#dakar2018#testfordakartheysaidpic.twitter.com/rOwcbITZgK
