First inning

In the bottom of the first, the home team took the lead with a four-station shot. Moisés Gutiérrez hit it out of the park and the locals took the lead against the Bigotones.

Fourth inning

In the top of the fourth, the visitors' battery arrived. First, captain 'Manny' Rodríguez got a hit and behind him, Amador also hit, tying the game. Then they walked Blash and 'Guty' Murillo, loading the bases for the local pitcher. With runners on base, Linares hit to right field and drove in two runs. Gabriel Gutiérrez hit next and brought the idol of the Sultanes de Monterrey to home plate. Later, Edson García continued the rally and brought Linares home, making the score a scandalous 5-1. To extend the lead, Alford hit a sacrifice fly, bringing in the sixth run. The rally continued with an error when they tried to get Murillo out of circulation. He read the play well and crossed home plate for the eighth run for the Charros. But there was still half of the game to be played.
