After two stages of Caminos del Inca, it seems that the two candidates to win the trophy are Raúl Orlandini and Nicolás Fuchs. The 'Mono' won the first one and 'Nico' did the same in the second stage. So today (8:00 am), in stage 3, both drivers will try to arrive first in Cusco. The arrival to the imperial city is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
Undoubtedly, Fuchs is excited after covering the 189 timed kilometers on dirt in 1h50m19s, a time that earned him the victory. José Luis Tommasini (1h50m40s) and Orlandini (1h53m21s) followed him.
"The dirt section between Arequipa and Puno has been very difficult, but we were able to reach the finish without any problems. Now we will provide quick assistance to the car because we are already heading to Cusco and we still have a lot of racing to do. We will not give up and we will seek the title," detailed the 12th place finisher of the Dakar 2017.
In other categories, Álvaro Silva won in Camionetas with a time of 2h03m27s; Raúl Velit, in Súper Turismo (1h58m08s); Diego Rodríguez, in Joyner (3h06m55s); Jorge Cárdenas, in S1600 (2h14m36s); and Luis Surco, in S2000 (2h17m06s).
