Tour de France 2016 winner Chris Froome to be in Mexico

British cyclist and winner of the 2016 Tour de France, Chris Froome, will be in Mexico as part of a promotional event for the world's top cycling competition scheduled for September.

At 32 years of age, Froome, who remains a prominent figure in the 2017 edition, will be the highlight of this event, which will take place in the Mexican capital for the second time.

The Mexico City stage will take place on September 23 and 24, consisting of two phases: a 12.6-kilometer Individual Time Trial within the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, and a 135-kilometer route along some of the city's main avenues.

Froome will be the ambassador on this occasion, a top-caliber cyclist and a three-time winner of the Tour de France, currently competing for top positions in the 2017 race.
