This Sunday, in a pleasant climate and a family-friendly atmosphere, the sixth edition of the Mutlimedios Laguna race was celebrated.

Kenyan runner Barsitei Rerimoi emerged as the ultimate winner, dominating the 10-kilometer distance with a time of 31 minutes and 53 seconds.

He quickly took off, showing his intentions from the start in Lerdo with a firm pace.In Gómez Palacio, he made it clear what he would offer in the second half of the race.

In Torreón, he started to take a lead that seemed increasingly decisive, as Juan Carlos Romero, despite always being in pursuit, was leaving behind significant meters for the finish, which were decisive when entering the final straight, along Bravo Avenue towards Bosque Venustiano Carranza, where he was welcomed with enthusiasm by the numerous families gathered at the finish line.

The Kenyan registered a time of 31 minutes and 53 seconds, with a significant advantage over his closest pursuer, Diego Borrego from Zacatecas, who completed the course in 32 minutes and 48 seconds, while Héctor Sánchez Gaytán from Zacatecas took third place, finishing the 10 kilometers in 34 minutes and 19 seconds.

There was also Kenyan dominance in the women's category, as Leonida Cherop maintained the first position for most of the course and finished with a comfortable lead. Her time of 38:37 was the best among all the women.

In second place was Argentina Valdepeñas Cerna from Torreón, with 39 minutes and 39 seconds, while Any Ortiz took third place with a time of 39 minutes and 49 seconds.

The race started at 7:30 am in front of the Francisco Sarabia monument in Lerdo, with the participation of Mayor María Luisa González Achem, Juan Gramillo Flores, director general of Multimedios Laguna, his wife Marcela González de Gramillo, Leobardo Ávalos, director of sports in Gómez Palacio, and José Guadalupe Rubio, deputy director.
