This Sunday the sixteenth edition of the Father's Day 5 and 10K athletic race was held, with the participation of more than 1,200 people, from children to older adults.

Many fathers ran accompanied by their children, some in the 5-kilometer distance, others in exclusive categories for fathers and children.

A festive day was experienced in this competition organized by Carreras Laguna, whose director, Alfredo Alemán Baños, mentioned that it has been one of the best attendances that this traditional event in the Lagunera Region has had.

The race started at 7:30 hours from Independencia and Mónaco Boulevard, in the Navarro neighborhood, to complete the 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer route, a very straight and pleasant route for those who attended.

In the 10K, Antonio de Jesús Salas García was the winner, who completed the race in 36 minutes and 42 seconds, while the second to cross the finish line was Gustavo Luna García with 38:01, and Mixtli Muñoz Hernández took third place, just seconds behind.

The first woman to cross the finish line in this distance was Marcia Gamez Algarate, who completed it in 46 minutes and 31 seconds. Ana Delia Rivera de la Peña took second place, with a time of 46 minutes and 40 seconds.
