Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup to be part of the Mexican Grand Prix
After two successful editions of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Mexico, and six months before the big event returns to our country, the participation of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup as a support race has been confirmed.
This category, with twenty-five years of history, enjoys international renown due to its high level of competitiveness. It involves ambitious teams made up of talented young drivers and experienced specialists who use the series as a platform and stage to showcase their talent.
With over sixty years of history in motorsport, Porsche began a new adventure in 1992 by organizing the first championship of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. One year later, they joined the International Automobile Federation (FIA) as a pre-race entertainment for the Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix at the best circuits in Europe and the world.
This year, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will consist of eight rounds, competing at circuits in Monaco, Austria, England, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, and, for the first time, Mexico. The first race will take place at the Barcelona Circuit, during the Spanish Grand Prix, which will be held next weekend from May 12-14.
After visiting the other circuits, the cup will conclude in our country, where the drivers will experience the passion of the Mexican audience for the first time as they race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a circuit that has not left indifferent the drivers who have participated in the top category.
Additionally, the Mexican F1 Grand Prix will have added excitement and adrenaline for motorsport enthusiasts on October 27, 28, and 29, with one of the most competitive support races in the world.
