Michigan faces Rutgers tonight (8:30 p.m., FS1) in a last-gasp attempt to revive its season. The Wolverines need three wins in their final four games and are facing a team that has lost three of its last four. The Scarlet Knights are almost impossible to beat at the RAC, but Nebraska did it last week, and Michigan has done it before (most recently in 2020).
Of course, beating the No. 27 team on the road would be the best win of Michigan’s season. And it’s late February. The Wolverines have had plenty of chances and are playing better than their record, but they haven’t been able to seal the deal against good teams, especially away from the Crisler Center.
Juwan Howard and his team are focused on going 1-0 every day, but they don’t have much choice tonight if they want something to play for in the final week of the regular season.
