Northville outscored Cherry Valley-Springfield 32-7 in the first and third quarters en route to a 53-32 non-league boys’ basketball victory Thursday. Evan Tamulaitis led Northville with 12 points. Landon Frasier added 10, as nine players scored for the Falcons.
CANAJOHARIE WINS BOWLING TOURNAMENT
On Tuesday, Canajoharie won the Western Athletic Conference boys’ bowling tournament, with 2,674 total pins. During the regular season, Fort Plain’s Anthony Paradiso had the high series with a 696, while Canajoharie’s Tanner Ackerhneut shared the high single of 277 with Duanesburg’s Ethan Meyers. Mayfield’s Dylan Scott and Fonda-Fultonville’s Tomek Kowalczyk joined Paradiso and Ackerhneut on the first-team all-stars. Fort Plain’s Kaedence David made the girls’ first-team all-stars.
Also Tuesday, Amsterdam placed third in the Foothills Council bowling tournament. The Rams’ Kai Brennan had the high six-game series of 1,289. He also had the high three-game series of 700. Teammates Patrick Hyam and Matt Sawitzki joined Brennan as first-team all-stars.
