The basketball season arrives with the Christmas vacation and teams from throughout the central peninsula will take to the hardwood with invitational tournaments ushering in the 2022-23 basketball season.
Craig Jung Kenai River Challenge @ KCHS
The Kenai River Challenge features the boys and girls from Kenai Central, SoHi and Houston and the Ninilchik boys and South Anchorage girls in a round-robin format beginning Thursday, December 15th at KCHS.
All tournament games involving Kenai and SoHi will be broadcast on ESPN 1140AM, 96.9FM and streamed live at radiokenai.com.

Nikiski Basketball In Southeast
The Nikiski Bulldogs are scheduled for a four-day swing to Sitka, Alaska.
Nikiski opens on Wednesday with a pairing against the Mt. Edgecombe Braves; game times schedule for 6 & 7:30 p.m. for the girls and boys varsity games.
The Bulldogs will compete in the Sitka Coastal Holiday Shootout running Thursday – Saturday, December 15-17 at Sitka High School.

The 2022 Cook Inlet Coca-Cola Classic basketball tournament features the Eagles and JV teams from Kenai, SoHi and Homer.
