The NBA has unveiled a revamped logo for the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV this morning, bringing back the iconic font used in the 1986-95 and 2004-17 logo variations. As a reminder, the league decided to change the logo in recent years, sparking negative comments on social media. The announcement has been celebrated by fans, who hope their teams will reach this stage in June.

The modernized logo incorporates fans' favorite font along with the Larry O'Brien Trophy to honor the league's 75-year history and look towards the future.
The identity also includes an updated black and gold color palette to complement the trophy and celebrate the pinnacle of the NBA season.
“The NBA Finals are the culmination of our 75th anniversary season, where we celebrate the past, present, and future of the league,” said NBA Chief Marketing Officer Kate Jhaveri.
“Highlighted by the return of our beloved Finals wordmark font, which is back by popular demand, our new logo pays homage to the history of our league and looks towards the future,” Jhaveri concluded.
It should be noted that the 2022 NBA Finals will start on Thursday, June 2, and will be broadcasted on ABC.
