LeBron James Sets NBA Record for Consecutive Games with 10 or More Points

The basketball star LeBron James set the record for the most consecutive games with at least 10 points in the NBA, in a victory this Wednesday of his Los Angeles Lakers over the San Antonio Spurs with a score of 121-107.

There couldn't have been a better way for the stellar player to celebrate his 36th birthday. LeBron achieved his 1,000th game with at least 10 points.

LeBron, a forward for the Lakers, became the first player to reach a thousand straight games scoring at least 10 points, surpassing the legend Michael Jordan, who achieved 866 consecutive games, the second-best streak.

LeBron's historic moment came in the second quarter with six minutes left in that period when he put his team up 46-37.

In the history of the NBA, the four-time champion and an equal number of MVP awards in the finals has the most points scored before turning 36, as he entered the game with 34,332 units.

Following LeBron are the late Kobe Bryant with 31,700 points, Wilt Chamberlain (30,335), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (29,779), and Jordan (29,277).

The last time LeBron scored less than 10 points was on January 5, 2007, against the Milwaukee Bucks (8 points).

Before entering the game against the Spurs, during his streak of 999 consecutive games with at least 10 points, he had scored exactly 10 points only three times.

Those three games with exactly 10 points were on April 11, 2018, against the New York Knicks, on January 8, 2018, against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and on October 31, 2007, against the Dallas Mavericks.

LeBron ended Wednesday's game with 26 points, five rebounds, and eight assists, followed by Dennis Schroder with 21 points and Anthony Davis with 20 points. Spanish player Marc Gasol finished with five points, five rebounds, and two assists.

The top performers for the Spurs were DeJounte Murray and DeMar DeRozan with 29 and 23 points, respectively. (D)
