The star player of the Los Angeles Lakers, small forward LeBron James, believes that his style of play would fit very well with the one Michael Jordan had.

"Personally, the way I play the game is to first look out for the team, that's why I feel that my style would work perfectly with Mike," said James in a video posted on Uninterrupted's YouTube channel.

This comes less than 24 hours after a survey was released indicating that 73 percent of NBA fans believe that Jordan is better than James.

The current Lakers player considers playing with Jordan as his teammate, not as his adversary.

"Mike is a 'killer' when it comes to playing basketball, scoring the way he scored the ball, that's why I believe my ability to pass, my ability to read the game would be perfect with his," he said.

James, who grew up as a fan of the Chicago Bulls and Jordan, highlighted that he felt invigorated watching Jordan in "The Last Dance" series.

He said the series made him think about playing alongside Jordan, the best shooting guard in basketball, and how they could have responded to each other on the court.

"I saw the things Scottie Pippen could do with Mike Jordan. I think it would have been a whole different level," James assessed. "Pippen was one of my favorite players. It would have been a whole different level where I would be a step ahead, and I would be that step ahead alongside him during those Chicago runs."

James met Jordan and played with him in 2001 when the "King" was 16 years old and Jordan was preparing for his final comeback to professional basketball.

"The guy looked like Jesus to me. He was a Black Jesus to me," James said about that experience.

Two years later, James had the opportunity to play on the same team as Jordan. After being selected as the overall first pick and signing an $87 million deal with Nike, he was invited to participate in Jordan's annual summer camp at UC Santa Barbara.

On Monday night, James wrote on Twitter, "I love great players and I would have loved to compete against all of them during their careers because I am a basketball sports historian."

He added, "But I would also die to compete against all of them!"

In the same message, he reiterated all his gratitude and thanks to the superstar of the Chicago Bulls.
