The pilot of the helicopter that caused retired basketball player Kobe Bryant's death had not consumed drugs or alcohol, autopsies determined.
Bryant, the pilot, and the other seven people on board the aircraft died on January 26, when it crashed on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
The autopsies were revealed on Friday by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. The cause of death for Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, pilot Ara Zobayan, and the other occupants is identified as severe trauma.
Zobayan was flying in thick fog. He made the aircraft ascend to avoid the clouds, but the helicopter ended up crashing on the side of a hill. Federal authorities continue to investigate the accident. (D)
