The NBA announced on Wednesday that it is temporarily suspending the season after a player from the Utah Jazz, who was not identified, tested positive for coronavirus.
"The NBA is suspending the season after tonight's games," the organization said in a statement.
"A player from the Utah Jazz has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. The test result was announced shortly before the start of tonight's game between the Jazz and the Oklahoma City," NBA said, adding that the player was not present at the game.
"The NBA will use this break to determine the next steps to take regarding the coronavirus pandemic," it stated. (D)
