TV picks for Sunday, June 24

WATCH THIS:

“BET Awards” (8 p.m., BET): Jamie Foxx hosts the 18th annual gala from Los Angeles. The performance list features Nicki Minaj, Migos, Janelle Monáe, H.E.R., Ella Mai and more. Presenters include T.I., Kevin Hart, LL Cool J, Chloe x Halle, Yvonne Orji, Bobby Brown, Trevor Jackson, Jason Mitchell, Mike Colter, Woody McClain, Jacob Latimore and Gabrielle Dennis. DJ Khaled leads all nominees with six.

“Celebrity Family Feud” (8 p.m., ABC): Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry got the best of Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul in the NBA’s Western Conference Finals (with Paul missing the last two games with an injury). Now, can Paul get a measure of revenge in a showdown that pits members of his family against the Curry clan? (This episode might have some extra spice had it not been filmed way back in February). Curry’s squad consists of wife Ayesha, sister Sydel, mother Sonya and father Wardell.

“The Pacific War in Color” (8 p.m., Smithsonian): This new eight-part series traces the epic struggle of the Pacific War using rare and never-before-seen color visuals from every corner of the conflict. The program takes viewers on a vivid journey from the home front to the battlefront, examining the pivotal moments, wartime innovations and social upheavals that still reverberate today.

“Endeavour” (9 p.m., PBS): Set in 1968, Season 5 of the drama series finds the cop duo of Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) and Fred Thursday (Roger Allam) solving more crimes. Morse has finally passed his Sergeant’s exams just as Oxford City Police merges into Thames Valley Constabulary, creating uncertainty for everyone. And despite Joan Thursday’s (Sara Vickers) return to Oxford, there are still many unanswered questions about her previous year’s disappearance and Endeavour’s unexpected proposal of marriage.

“Preacher” (10 p.m., AMC): Season 3 of the wildly offbeat series follows Jesse’s quest for God, which takes him back to the place he’s been avoiding all his life: home. Also, Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy return to Angelville, the Louisiana Plantation where Jesse was raised, and find that old grudges and deadly obligations await them.
